Pokémon Go’s yearly “Harvest Festival” event has kicked off for 2026, running from Sept. 29 until Oct. 5. This year’s event features the debut of shiny Applin, so keep your eyes out for any green apples.
You can find apples on the ground by using Mossy Lure Modules on PokéStops. Tapping an apple may yield a literal apple item or an encounter with a Pokémon.
The second part of the event, which features a Team Go Rocket Takeover, introduces shiny Shroodle to the game. During the takeover, the usual bonuses will be active, including more frequent Team Go Rocket balloons and members at PokéStops and the ability to use Charged TMs to replace Frustration. Giovanni and the Team Go Rocket leaders have also refreshed their line-ups.
We list the perks for Pokémon Go‘s “Harvest Festival” 2026 event below, including the branching Timed Research choices.
Update (Oct. 2): This event turned into a Team Go Rocket Takeover event on Friday, Oct. 2. We’ve added the relevant spawns and Field Research to the lists below.
