Amazon is giving a major reboot to its tablet efforts. So far, the company has only sold Fire-branded tablets with modest internal specs, and a software ecosystem locked to its own proprietary app store. In 2026, the company is making a big shift with an all-new family of Alexa tablets. Earlier today, the company introduced the Amazon Alexa Tablet 12 Pro, Amazon Alexa Tablet 11, and Amazon Alexa Tablet 8.

What makes the Alexa Tablet 12 Pro stand out?

At the summit of the product lineup is the Amazon Alexa Tablet 12 Pro, which features a sleek 6.5-inch metallic chassis at 12-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, an anti-glare matte surface coating, and full stylus support. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400, this one comes in two variants. Reaching up to 16 GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. It also comes equipped with Dolby Atmos speakers and comes with its own keyboard case that looks pretty sleek.

“The Nanomatte display uses precision-etched anti-glare technology to dramatically reduce screen glare. We partnered with Corning on a photolithography process that etches a precise, pixel-aligned texture into the glass at the sub-pixel level—unlike conventional matte screens that sandblast the surface and scatter light unevenly—preserving detail and color accuracy,” says the company.

What does Alexa Tablet 11 and Tablet 8 offer?

The base variant of Amazon Alexa Tablet 12 Pro costs $499.99 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage, while the top-end model with a Nanomatte display will set you back $549.99 for the matching memory configuration. The tablet is now up for grabs and will start shipping on October 14 in the US. The Alexa Tablet 11 is priced at $329.99, while the Alexa Tablet 8 costs $229.99 a pop.

The former features an 11-inch 2.5K display with 90Hz refresh rate, while the latter offers an 8.7-inch HD-class screen. Both draw power from the MediaTek 8189 processor, with up to 8GB of RAM and 64/128 GB storage options. They also offer an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1080p front camera for video calling.
