Beyerdynamic has launched the Aventho Y, a new pair of wireless over-ear headphones with a 90-hour battery, fast charging, support for switching between two devices at once, and a battery and ear pads you can actually replace yourself. The headphones were unveiled ahead of IFA Berlin and go on sale on September 3 in four color options.
Battery, Bluetooth, and ANC that actually hold up
The Aventho Y uses Multipoint Bluetooth 6.0, so you can hop between your laptop and phone without issues. Battery life goes up to 90 hours with ANC turned off, and if you’re in a rush, five minutes on the charger buys you another six hours of playback.
Beyerdynamic is also paying a lot of attention to user comfort. The ear pads and headband offer ample cushion, making them perfect for long listening sessions. Beyerdynamic is also releasing an upgrade kit with a matching USB-C dongle and a color-coordinated boom mic, turning the Aventho Y into a full headset setup.
On the audio side, a 45mm dynamic driver handles the heavy lifting, aiming to capture the finer details in your music. The over-ear design blocks outside noise on its own, and switching on ANC cuts down distractions even further.
