Staring at a static slide while your presentation needs something more dynamic is a familiar workplace headache. Anthropic just gave Claude two new tools to fix that. Claude Dashboards and Claude Motion are both launching in beta today, letting you turn raw company data into live visuals and static ideas into short animated explainers.

How does Claude Dashboards work?

Claude Dashboards can be connected directly to your company’s data platform, whether that’s Databricks, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, ClickHouse, or a CRM like Salesforce. Then you can ask questions in plain language instead of writing SQL yourself.

Claude pulls the answer, builds the dashboard, and keeps it refreshed automatically as new data comes in. It’s designed for quick, exploratory questions, like comparing this week’s signups against last month’s, rather than replacing dedicated BI tools entirely.

Dashboards that update itself as your data changes

You can click any number to see exactly which query generated it, and once a question needs deeper digging, you can send the dashboard straight to tools like Grafana, Hex, Mixpanel, or Sigma, with Looker, Perplexity, and Tableau support coming soon. Dashboards are currently available on paid plans only.

How can Claude Motion help you?

Claude Motion turns information into short animations. You can ask Claude to turn a quarterly report or a single chart from a board deck into a short animation that plays like a video.

However, Claude doesn’t generate actual video footage or synthetic people. It writes code that animates text, charts, shapes, and images, so every word, number, and timing detail it generates stays fully editable afterward. Once finished, you can export it directly as an MP4, or push it further into tools like Adobe, Canva, Runway, or Luma AI.

Motion is currently limited to Team and Enterprise plans. Alongside both launches, Claude Docs, Slides, and Design are officially exiting beta entirely, now available across every plan, including Free accounts.
