I’d buy one of these 4 gaming monitors while Amazon Prime deals are still live

A monitor is one of those PC upgrades I’m usually reluctant to rush into. Too many options, and once you start looking at OLED panels, ultrawides, 4K resolutions, and high refresh rates, prices can get expensive fast. That’s exactly why Amazon Prime sales are usually a good time to start looking.
I’ve reviewed the monitor deals currently available on Amazon, and these four caught my attention. There’s a little bit of everything here, from a 240Hz OLED that should be fantastic for gaming to a 34-inch ultrawide and even a monitor capable of hitting an absurd 480Hz. More importantly, all four are on sale right now, with one down as much as 44%.
ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQDMGR – $399 (33% off)
The ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQDMGR is probably where I’d start if I wanted to jump to OLED without spending close to $1,000. It gives you a 27-inch 1440p glossy OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time, which is a combination I really like for PC gaming. 1440p still looks wonderfully sharp at this screen size, but unlike 4K, you have a much better chance of actually pushing those higher frame rates without needing the absolute fastest GPU available. The OLED panel should make games look fantastic as well, especially anything with darker scenes, while ASUS’ OLED Care Pro features and Neo Proximity Sensor are designed to help protect the panel over the long term. At 33% off during Amazon’s Prime sale, this is easily one of the OLED monitor deals I’d be looking at first.

LG UltraGear 27G810A-B — $369.90 (44% off)
The LG UltraGear 27G810A-B is the one I’d pick if I couldn’t decide between wanting a sharp 4K monitor and an incredibly fast esports display. That’s because you don’t really have to choose. Its 27-inch IPS display runs at 4K and up to 180Hz, which is already more than enough for most of the games I play, but LG’s Dual Mode lets you switch to 1080p and crank the refresh rate up to 360Hz. I could see myself sticking with 4K for everyday use and single-player games, then switching over whenever I jump into something more competitive. You also get HDMI 2.1, Nvidia G-Sync compatibility, AMD FreeSync Premium, and VESA DisplayHDR 400. The 44% discount is the biggest of these four deals, and getting this combination for under $400 makes it particularly easy to recommend.

| Screen size | 27-inches |
| Resolution | 3,840 x 2,160 |
| Panel | IPS |
| Refresh rate | 180Hz at 4K / 360Hz at 1080p |

Dell Alienware AW3426DWM — $299.99 (25% off)
I’ve always liked the idea of an ultrawide monitor for gaming because that extra horizontal space can make the right game feel completely different. The Alienware AW3426DWM gives you a 34-inch 3440 x 1440 display with a 1500R curve, so it should fill much more of your field of view without turning your desk into a television stand. What makes this deal particularly interesting to me, though, is that Alienware hasn’t sacrificed speed to get there. It still runs at up to 240Hz with a 1ms response time, alongside a 3000:1 contrast ratio, 95% DCI-P3 color coverage, and up to 400 nits of brightness. At $299.99 after a 25% discount, this is the monitor I’d choose from this list if I’ve been waiting for the right excuse to finally go ultrawide.
| Key Specs/features | Dell Alienware AW3426DWM |
| Screen size | 34-inches |
| Resolution | 3,440 x 1,440 |
| Panel | VA |

ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDP — $849 (20% off)
If I wanted to go all-out, however, the ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDP would be my pick. This 32-inch 4K OLED monitor runs at 240Hz, which already checks almost every box I’d want in a high-end gaming display. But there’s another trick hiding here. Like the LG above, the PG32UCDP has a Dual Mode that lets you trade resolution for speed, except this one can jump all the way to 480Hz at 1080p. That means I can enjoy 4K OLED visuals when playing a big single-player game, then switch modes when I care more about frame rate than resolution. There’s also a 0.03ms response time, Nvidia G-Sync compatibility, true 10-bit color, and USB-C with 90W power delivery. Even with its 20% Prime discount, $849 isn’t cheap, but it is the one I’d buy if I wanted a monitor I wouldn’t think about replacing anytime soon.

| Screen size | 32-inches |
