150+ locations worldwide
IPVanish now offers more than 150 server locations worldwide, more than Surfshark, Windscribe, and CyberGhost.

The total IPVanish server network exceeds 3,400 servers, with more than 1,000 added in the last year. These cover both new and existing, high-demand, locations, and 56,000+ IP addresses are available to IPVanish users.
Additional servers help improve speeds and reliability by reducing congestion and giving users the option to connect to a server closer to where they’re physically located – the less distance your data has to travel, the better your VPN performance will be.
In our most recent round of testing, IPVanish recorded speeds of 742 Mbps. This doesn’t make it one of the fastest VPNs out there, but speeds are more than good enough for 4K streaming, gaming, and browsing.
IPVanish said its recent upgrades have focused on North America and Europe, following on from 2024 updates to its servers in Africa, Asia, and South America.
Atlanta, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, New York, Chicago, and Toronto are “long-standing hub locations” and are some of IPVanish’s “most-used server locations globally.”

880+ RAM-only servers
As well as its regular servers, IPVanish has 880+ RAM-only servers, representing 35% of its total network.
RAM-only servers don’t rely on hard drives or SSD storage. Data is not permanently stored on the server – instead, it’s wiped on shutdown. The amount of data collected and stored is also minimal, thanks to IPVanish’s strict, audited no-logs policy.
The 880+ RAM-only servers cover 25 locations, with 13 of those in the US. RAM-only servers are available across all IPVanish platforms, including Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS, and smart TVs. Within the app, you can filter your server list so only RAM-only locations are shown.
RAM-only rollout began in June 2025, and IPVanish wants to transition to 100% RAM-only servers by 2027.
