Marantz has a new all-in-one system for people who still want CDs and vinyl without giving up modern streaming or TV connectivity. The MCR 60n puts a CD player, network streamer, stereo amplifier, MM phono stage, and HDMI eARC input into a box that measures just 11 inches wide. It will cost $1,000 when it goes on sale on September 15.

Other connections include optical digital, USB, Ethernet, a configurable subwoofer output, and variable audio outputs. Those variable outputs also let the MCR 60n serve as a streaming preamplifier for active speakers or another hi-fi system.
HEOS handles streaming and multiroom audio
Network streaming runs through the latest version of Marantz’s HEOS platform. Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay 2, and Roon Ready are supported, along with internet radio and HEOS multiroom playback.
The MCR 60n can play PCM files up to 384kHz/32-bit and DSD up to 11.2MHz. Bluetooth supports both receive and transmit modes, which means audio can be streamed to the system from a phone or sent from the MCR 60n to wireless headphones. Marantz also offers Dirac Live Room Correction as an optional upgrade for stereo playback.
