Paramount+ always has tons of new shows for your next weekend binge-watch. The streaming service adds new episodes of hit shows constantly, and even has entire seasons of shows ready to binge. In fact, it just added 82 new movies and shows on May 1. These aren’t all just Paramount+ original shows, either; the streamer regularly adds new shows from Paramount’s networks, like CBS, as well as coproductions with international studios.
This weekend, I’ve got three shows worth watching in one sitting. First, there’s “Friday Night Lights,” which is a major addition for Paramount+, especially since you can binge all five seasons. Keeping things in Texas, there’s also “Dutton Ranch,” a new spin-off sequel to “Yellowstone” that’s just beginning its first season this weekend. Finally, if you enjoy the works of Tyler Perry, there’s no better time to start binging “Divorced Sistas.” It’s currently 14 episodes deep into its first season, which is now streaming exclusively on Paramount’s streaming service.

‘Friday Night Lights’ seasons 1-5
Genre: Sports drama series
What’s it about? Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler) is the head coach of the Dillon Panthers, in a part of Texas where high school football is a religion. Coach Taylor knows if he wins, he’ll be exalted. If he loses, he’ll be crucified. So it doesn’t help matters when his starting quarterback (Scott Porter) is paralyzed in the opening game of the season.
Why you should watch it: Despite being based on an acclaimed non-fiction book that also spawned a beloved 2004 film of the same name, this 2006-2011 series is the first thing most people think of when they think of “Friday Night Lights.” The cast is incredible, featuring Michael B. Jordan and Jesse Plemons, among others, and while it can veer into melodrama, it holds a place in the pantheon of great television shows.

‘Dutton Ranch’ season 1
Genre: Neo-Western drama series
What’s it about? “Marshals” may be deep into its first season, but another “Yellowstone” spin-off is just starting. “Dutton Ranch” has Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly returning to the Sheridanverse as Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton, as they start over in Texas, away from the baggage of the original series and the specter of Kevin Costner.
Why you should watch it: Simply put, if you liked “Yellowstone,” I’m pretty confident you’ll like “Dutton Ranch.” I’m not the biggest fan of Taylor Sheridan’s TV shows (it’s worth noting this show isn’t written by Sheridan, but rather Chad Feehan), but even I was ready to hit play on the second episode as soon as the credits rolled on the first.

‘Battlestar Galactica’ seasons 1-4
Genre: Comedy-drama series
What’s it about? Rasheda (LeToya Luckett), Geneva (Khadeen Indréa), Naomi (Porscha Coleman), Tiffany (Briana Price), and Bridgette (Jennifer Sears) are all friends, and they’re all going through relationship problems. Part 2 of season 1 escalates the drama when long-simmering tensions erupt, causing relationships to fracture.
Why you should watch it: You might not have seen the first half of “Divorced Sistas” season 1 because it was on BET+. But now that it’s on Paramount+, you can binge all of part 1 and the first six episodes of part 2.
