Netflix, like most streaming services, gives with one hand and takes with the other. While the popular platform is always adding new movies every month, it also removes some, too.
May 2026 will be no different. As the calendar ticks over to June, a selection of familiar favorites will be waving goodbye (for now, at least). I’ve taken a look at the movies set to be removed from Netflix in just a couple of weeks, and found three that you should make time to stream while you still can.

‘Casino’ (1995)
Director Martin Scorsese teams up with Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci for a sprawling crime drama with a wickedly sharp comedic streak. No, I’m not talking about “Goodfellas,” but instead the movie the trio made afterwards, 1995’s “Casino.” While not quite as legendary, “Casino” is still an epic and excellent watch, with De Niro and Pesci in fine form, and Scorsese weaving a gripping tale of morally bankrupt men in a way only he can.
Set in the glittering, but hollow, facade of Las Vegas, Ace Rothstein (De Niro) and Nicky Santoro (Pesci) are childhood friends who find themselves consumed by a quest for power, influence, and ill-gotten gains in the 1970s and 80s. Ace is tasked with running the Tangiers Casino, while Nicky acts as an enforcer. However, when Ace falls in love with a local hustler, Ginger (Sharon Stone), and Nicky becomes increasingly erratic, all bets are off.

‘The Lego Movie’ (2014)
“The Lego Movie” could have been merely a feature-length advertisement for the Danish toy, but it’s so much more than that. Instead, it’s one of the 2010s most enjoyable all-ages adventure-comedies. It’s got a stunning animation style, purposefully designed to look like Lego bricks come to life, hilarious gags, clever pop culture references, and a simple but satisfying story. And while it’s definitely much more than an ad for Lego, I can’t deny that by the end, you will have a real desire to go out and buy a set or two.
Set in a Lego universe, our hero is Emmet (voiced by Chris Pratt), an everyday mini-figure living in Bricksburg. There’s nothing special about him, and he’s completely happy with his mundane existence. But when he stumbles upon the fabled “Piece of Resistance,” he becomes the target of the sinister Lord Business (Will Ferrell) and has to team up with a crew of Master Builders to save the Lego world from the villain’s dastardly plan.

‘Cold Pursuit’ (2019)
Liam Neeson has become a bona fide action-thriller hero, starring in dozens of exciting movies, and while some of these are great (“Taken,” “In the Land of Saints and Sinners”), I can’t deny he’s also featured in a lot of weak efforts. Fortunately, “Cold Pursuit” falls into the former category. This English-language remake of a 2014 Norwegian flick offers strong tension-building and a fitting performance from Neeson as a father out for revenge.
Nels Coxman (Liam Neeson) is a cornerstone of his community in the ski resort village of Kehoe, Colorado. But when his son is murdered by members of a ruthless drug cartel, led by a psychotic criminal named Viking (Tom Bateman), he sets out on a revenge-fueled mission to put those responsible for his son’s death under the ground (or under the ice in this case). But Nels’ decision to break bad comes with dark consequences.
