The flowers are blooming, the days are getting longer, and there’s a fresh batch of new movies and TV shows to watch this weekend on Netflix, Paramount+ and more of the best streaming services, whether you’re in the mood for intergalactic adventure, cowboy family drama or swoony romance.
On the streaming movies side, Ryan Gosling blasts off into space in “Project Hail Mary,” while “You, Me and Tuscany” delivers wine-soaked flirtation. The TV lineup is packed, as “Dutton Ranch” keeps the Taylor Sheridan’s Western empire growing, “The Punisher: One Last Kill” drags Frank Castle back into blood-soaked brutaliy and “Off Campus” serves up hookups, heartbreak and hockey (a la “Heated Rivalry). ‘Dutton Ranch’ (Paramount+)
The vibes: “Yellowstone” packs up the ranch and heads to Texas for more cowboy drama.
The plot: Taylor Sheridan’s sequel to the juggernaut original series picks up after Montana’s bloodbath, with Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) trying to start over on a South Texas ranch that promises peace … until it doesn’t. Their new life is quickly threatened by a powerful rival operation led by Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening). In Texas, even the grudges are bigger. We were able to see the first four episodes, and of all of Taylor Sheridan’s post-“Yellowstone” shows, it could be the best.

‘The Punisher: One Last Kill’ (Disney+)
The vibes: The MCU, but make it gritty and noir.
The plot: Set between “The Punisher” and “Daredevil: Born Again” season 2, this special sees Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) attempting something radical: going five minutes without killing. Well, it doesn’t exactly take. The gravel-voiced vigilante is sent into another brutal spiral — this time with a bit of soul-searching.

‘Off Campus’ (Prime Video)
The vibes: “Heated Rivalry,” but make it hetero and in the format of “Bridgerton.”
The plot: Elle Kennedy’s bestselling novels finally hit the screen in this steamy college soap, which tracks an elite hockey program where the real contact sport is off the ice and in the dorm room. Each season (like each book) zooms in on a new couple, with the first centering on star player Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli) and guarded songwriter Hannah Wells (Ella Bright). Their opposites-attract chemistry is equal parts banter, bad decisions and smoldering sexual tension. Our review of “Off Campus” called it a “pleasant (and steamy) surprise.”

‘Good Omens’ 3 (Prime Video)
The vibes: The apocalypse is somehow less devastating than the universe’s most stylish breakup.
The plot: In the supersized series finale, angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tennant) are not speaking … which would be fine, if the Second Coming weren’t also kicking off. Now promoted to Supreme Archangel, Aziraphale is drowning in celestial bureaucracy, while Crowley drifts through Soho like a heartbroken goth. But as reality starts to buckle, the former best-friends-turned-exes are reluctantly pulled back together for one last attempt to save the world.

‘Nemesis’ (Netflix)
The vibes: A cat-and-mouse showdown in the vein of “Heat.”
The plot: “Power” creator Courtney A. Kemp is behind a glossy crime saga where master jewel thief Coltrane Wilder (Y’lan Noel) keeps slipping through the LAPD’s fingers. But possibly not for long, when his recent heist comes to the attention of Detective Isaiah Stiles (Matthew Law), a relentless investigator. As the two family men circle each other, each slowly realizes the line between cop and criminal might be thinner than they’d like.

‘Welcome to Wrexham’ season 5 (FXX/Hulu)
The vibes: The underdogs aren’t quite so under anymore. Now what?
The plot: Season 5 follows Wrexham’s leap into the Championship league, where fairy-tale momentum gives way to brutal reality. The dream of climbing keeps going, but now every point matters and every misstep has consequences. Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds are suddenly deep in squad rebuilds, managing pressure and staring down a relegation chance that doesn’t care about Hollywood optimism.

‘Rivals’ season 2 part 1 (Hulu)
The vibes: Bigger hair, nastier feuds and even more unhinged schemes.
The plot: In season 2, the fight for the Central South West TV franchise turns outright vicious. David Tennant’s Lord Baddingham goes full scorched-earth as he plots against Rupert (Alex Hassell) and Declan (Aidan Turner). What starts as corporate maneuvering mutates into obsession-fueled warfare. Beneath the gloss and hair spray, the county’s shiny media world is falling apart.

‘Project Hail Mary’ (digital)
The vibes: For anyone who liked “The Martian” and “E.T.”
The plot: Ryland Grace is a a disgraced scientist-turned-middle-school teacher who wakes up alone on a spaceship with zero memory. As his brain slowly reboots, he realizes he’s been sent across the galaxy to stop a sun-killing organism from wiping out Earth. Heavy stuff, sure, but directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller keep things lighthearted, funny and weirdly emotional — especially once Grace meets Rocky, who quickly becomes your favorite alien bestie.
In our “Project Hail Mary” review, we called it one of the best movies of the year, so it’s one you don’t want to miss if you missed it in theaters.

‘You, Me and Tuscany’ (digital)
The vibes: An upscale version of a Hallmark rom-com that combines “Under the Tuscan Sun” and “While You Were Sleeping”
The plot: After losing both her job and apartment, New Yorker Anna (Halle Bailey) impulsively jets off to Tuscany and crashes in the empty villa of Matteo (Lorenzo de Moor), a charming Italian stranger she barely knows. One tiny problem: His family mistakes her for his fiancée, and Anna goes along with it. Naturally, things get messier once Matteo’s very handsome cousin Michael (“Bridgerton” alum Regé-Jean Page) enters the picture. It’s a predictable, but charming rom-com that our reviewer says makes for some easy watching.
