What’s so great about this bundle?
The big appeal of the Nectar Foundation Bundle is that it takes a whole load of hassle out of buying an entire bed as it comes with almost everything you need for the night, straight out of the box.
The downside is that while it comes at a great price, the Nectar Classic Memory Foam mattress that comes with it by default isn’t going to be for everyone. It’s a really good mattress for the money, but if you need a mattress with more pressure relief, improved cooling or better edge support, you’d do well by paying more for another mattress from the Nectar range.
If you want a more advanced memory foam bed, upgrade to the Nectar Premier Memory Foam mattress. It has a softer, more cradling feel than the Classic, making it a better pick for side sleepers. It also performed well in our temperature regulation, pressure relief, motion isolation and edge support tests. You can add it to your bundle for an extra $300, which I think is a price worth paying.
Me, I prefer a hybrid mattress to straight memory foam, so I’d drop an additional $450 and get the Nectar Premier Hybrid mattress with my bundle. It’s more breathable because of its springs, so it’ll sleep naturally cooler, while its medium-firm feel makes it a better fit for side sleepers like me.
If you’re feeling really spendy you could upgrade to the Nectar Luxe Memory Foam mattress for an additional $600, or even the hybrid version for $900 more. I have to say, though, that if you’re in for the $1,898 that the bundle with the Nectar Luxe Hybrid will cost you, perhaps you should instead totally go for it with a bundle featuring the best mattress of them all…
